“In their fixed ways do not walk “Vayikra 18:3

One is not to emulate their distinctive way of dressing nor to grow the hair on his head.

Do not shave the hair at the sides leaving the hair in the middle of the head, called a crest.

Neither to shave the hairs on ones face from ear to ear leaving a long growth at the back.

Whoever does any of these or similar is to receive lashes.

If someone is close to the government and needs to dress in their clothes and emulate them he is permitted.

This applies in all places at all times for men and women
